Haiku for Summer

                                                                         strains of Vivaldi
the heat of the day remains
                                                                         in the stone patio

                                                                          morning chores
                                                                          pushing a broom against
                                                                          the heavy air

                                                                          heat wave
                                                                          again I learn
                                                                          to slow down
