Haibun

                                                    OUT OF TIME

Windows open on a June morning.  The scent of burning leaves.  The neighbors are doing their yard clean-up.  Surely an autumn smell these burning leaves.  Yet the scent…wafting on the warm breezes instead of cool ones… seems right and not out of time.

                                                      Father’s Day
                                                      whipping cream
                                                      for an eggnog
