Haiku

 

                                               party over
                                               the snap crackle of logs
                                               in an empty room

                                               non-stop snow
                                               we pass each other going
                                               from room to room

                                               fresh snow
                                               beginning the new year
                                               with a clean slate

Hi Janet,

For some unknown reason your comment doesn't show here, but I read it. We had rain on Christmas Eve; the snow came in the New Year along with zero degrees.
