Haiku

                                             bouquets of lilacs

                                             the last bunch fills

                                             a milk bottle

                                             twilight rain

                                             the scent of lilacs
                                             through the window
 
                                            dead heading lilacs
                                            the fragrance lingers
                                            in memory
