GROWING UP
The teenage girl sits on the café stool and orders a latté and a muffin. A pretty face, smooth and rosy, long light brown hair silky like a cocker spaniel’s. Her short tee-shirt rides up higher as she moves her arms. Her tight jeans slip lower, lower, revealing inches of flesh and a peek at where the flesh divides.
She chats on her
cell phone. No pausing to swallow her
muffin. Bite, talk, swallow, talk,
drink… So much to say. So much to hear. All the news.
Hurray. Pass it on.

Hi Adelaide - I thought I would drop by. You have been so wonderfully busy. x Emma
Hi Emma,
I'm so glad you stopped by. I see you have posted on you blog again. I shall be checking it out now and then. What have you been doing? I've been writing haiku, tanka, etc. and have been getting a mix of acceptances and rejections, no more, no less, than usual for me. I just got 4 haiga accepted for Daily Haily which will be posted in the coming months.
all the best,
Adelaide
Wow to this haibun. So well captured, every detail.
Thanks, Janet. People are original, except when they hit their teen years. Then all the teens act and sound alike, or so it seems.

This is such an everyday candid teen moment, juxtaposed so well with the activity of nature's gull
Simply beautiful
much love...
Thank you, Gillena
