HAIKU


                                           cooler today   I form a plan
                                           greater than    my energy

                                          tea in china cups
                                          the wet afternoon perfumed
                                          with tangerine peels

                                          mid-afternoon
                                          a waning sun comes through
                                          the autumn damp
