                                             mid-summer
                                             in the garden umbrella
                                             a baby bat

                                             fishing the river
                                             shore to shore
                                             gulls
                                 
                                            
                                            wild grapes
                                            from the fogged in road
                                            grinding gears

I think the little thing was as surprised as we were. It stayed on the ground for a couple of minutes then flew away.
